Webcam interviews

Webcam interviews are interviews in which participants communicate with each other via a webcam and an Internet connection. They are often used in situations where participants are in different geographic locations or time constraints prevent face-to-face meetings.

The main function of webcam interviews is to create a visual and audiovisual connection between participants so that an interactive conversation can take place in real time. Through the webcam, participants can perceive nonverbal communication, facial expressions, gestures, and body posture, which in many cases is important for assessing research interviews.
